As its title suggests, Andreas Zybach’s Self-reproducing Pedestal is a dynamic installation that grows over time, inflating more and more balloons as viewers walk over the latticework. Alluding to Piero Manzoni’s pneumatic sculptures and pedestal pieces, the Swiss artist’s work seemingly undergoes biological reproduction with every step.
