I make incidents on flat objects, that can be called paintings.  I dont really think about them that way.  I like to start out making a series of mistakes.  Trying to get the surfce to the point where it seems to work.  I am attracted to a kind of complete failure in these "paintings".  I like to cover up over and over until something emerges that I can't bring myself to cover up any longer.  The work is about trying to make the best of it.
